Formal identification is yet to take place following an appeal to find Heidi Johnson
Police have said a body has been found after launching an appeal to find a woman from Guisborough .
Heidi Johnson had been last seen at her home in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
The 45-year-old was last seen wearing blue jeans, a green jacket with a fur hood and red Dr Martens boots.
She was carrying a beige River Island handbag
An appeal was issued to find her on Wednesday evening by Cleveland Police.
But officers provided an update in the early hours of Thursday saying a body had been found in Guisborough.
A spokeswoman for the force said: "Although formal identification has yet to take place, Heidi’s family have been notified and they are being supported by police."
Cleveland Mountain Rescue was involved in the search for Ms Johnson.
A spokesman said: "25 team members were involved in the search which was concentrated in the area to the the east of Guisborough on the edge of Guisborough Forest.
"The search was called off just after 7.30pm when one of the search parties located a body, believed to be that of the missing women.
"Our thoughts are with the missing lady's friends and family."
