A probe is continuing to establish how the baby died, with further tests having to be carried out
The cause of death of a newborn baby boy is still not known following a post-mortem.
A probe is continuing to try and establish how the baby died, with further tests having to be carried out.
No arrests have been made in the time since officers were called to Wordsworth Road in Teesville earlier this month.
A spokeswoman for Cleveland Police said: “An investigation is continuing to establish how a newborn baby boy died.
"A post mortem examination was carried out, however, the cause of death continues to be unascertained and further tests are required to try to establish the cause of his death.
"Cleveland Police continues to support these inquiries."
No more details about the circumstances of the baby's death have been released.
Witnesses say an area around a bin in the nearby and now-closed Eston Hotel car park, off Fabian Road, was taped off.
It is not known whether this is linked to the death.
